Helping people to live better. This is where you can get the secrets of great success without paying anything. The change will start with working on our mentality to get a better mind set. Then, we will talk about finance. And we should have fun doing it.

Erich Fromm – One of the best psychologist

Who is that Erich Fromm 🙂
He is a great psychologist and social psychologist. He was many other things too that I don’t understand, he was a psychoanalyst, democratic socialist, humanistic philosopher. Acc. to Google 🙂

Erich Fromm Birth
His complete name is Erich Seligmann Fromm. He was born on 23rd March 1900. He was born in Germany, Frankfurt. Erich was the only son of Orthodox Jewish parents. His grandfather and two grandfathers on his dad’s side were rabbis. He also had a Talmudic scholar great uncle on his mom’s side. However, he turned away from Judaism 🙂

Erich Fromm Studies
He started at Frankfurt am Main university with Jurisprudence which I still don’t mean what that means 🙂 Then he studied at Heidelberg university. He received his PhD in Sociology from Heidelberg university from his teachers, Alfred Weber, Karl Jaspers, and Heinrich Rickert. Then he learned to be a psychoanalyst. Then, Erich joined the Frankfurt institute for social research.

He moved to Columbia university in New York. Co-founded the William Alanson White Institute of psychiatry, psychoanalysis, and psychology. Then, he went to Bennington College.

Fromm moved to Mexico city and became a professor at National Autonomous Univeristy of Mexico and Michigan State university and adjunct professor of psychology at the graduate division of Arts and Sciences at New York University.

Erich Fromm’s Theories
He said that there are eight basic needs;
Relatedness; the need for relationships.
Transcendence; humans are superiors and can do anything they want.
Rootedness; the need for roots for our existence.
Sense of identity; mmmmmmmm 🙁 🙁
Fram of orientation; where are we in the world.
Excitation and stimulation; pursuing a goal.
Unity; again mmmmmmmm 🙁 🙁
Effectiveness; the need to feel that I made achievements.

From all of this hard stuff to swallow or understand. His books were much easier to understand. His top books actually explain so many things, things that related to the choice that is made in our life and how we are forced to make some choices and how we were deluded to think that somethings aren’t a choice while it is a choice.

Reading few of his books changed the way I see the world and learned me to respectfully look the other people and made me know for sure that love is the ultimate cure for everything. His writings explain why some violent people stay violent. He explains why are so trustful of our beliefs even if they were wrong. He explained why we don’t respect others beliefs. He did sit my brain to the beginnings. He gave me the start button to reset my thoughts and make them right.

I really would like to recommend his works for everyone. His books is a great way to achieve greatness.

Here are his books at Amazon
I would recommend escape from freedom, man for himself, the forgotten language, and the art of loving.

  • Erich Fromm Quotes
Immature love says: “I love you because I need you.” Mature love says: “I need you because I love you.”
  • Creativity requires the courage to let go of certaintiesLove is the only sane and satisfactory answer to the problem of human existence.
  • Man is the only animal for whom his own existence is a problem which he has to solve.
  • Greed is a bottomless pit which exhausts the person in an endless effort to satisfy the need without ever reaching satisfaction.
  • To die is poignantly bitter, but the idea of having to die without having lived is unbearable.
  • The quest for certainty blocks the search for meaning. Uncertainty is the very condition to impel man to unfold his powers.
  • Uncertainty is the very condition to impel man to unfold his powers.
  • Man’s main task in life is to give birth to himself, to become what he potentially is. The most important product of his effort is his own personality.
  • The most important product of his effort is his own personality.
  • Not he who has much is rich, but he who gives much.
  • One cannot be deeply responsive to the world without being saddened very often.

Your article is very informative about one of my favorite historical psychologists. However, there are a lot of language and spelling errors in your piece and you should definitely get someone to proofread for you if you want your site to be taken seriously.
I really appreciate you providing a listing of his works and a link to buy them. Keep up the good work!
